Hiccup sets out, as tradition prescribes, to find a dragon to slay, but ends up befriending the first dragon he captured. Hiccup befriends the dragon, gradually taming it and giving it the name 'Toothless' due to its retractable teeth. But if Toothless is not there, who is Hiccup? Hiccup regains consciousness on Berk to find himself admired amongst the tribe and by Astrid, with the Vikings and the dragons now living in harmony. As he is too small and weak to fight the dragons, he instead fashions mechanical devices under his apprenticeship with Gobber, the senior blacksmith, though his inventions often malfunction or backfire. The older man says he believes it is Hiccup's destiny to find the so-called hidden world where all dragons come from and make it so that the creatures never fight with mankind again.
Ruffnut is voiced by Kristen Wiig. Grimmel is caught off-guard by an attack from the Dragon Riders, but he manages to escape and burns Hiccup's house to the ground, prompting Hiccup to come to the realization that he, the people, and their dragons need to move to a place his father Stoick once told him about: a hidden world where all dragons live. He has also created ProMovieBlogger. In a last-ditch attempt to prove that the relationship between humans and dragons is false, Grimmel shoots Toothless out of the sky, trying to dare the Light Fury into saving Toothless instead of Hiccup, forcing Hiccup to release the Light Fury's drug collar, and sacrificing himself to let her save Toothless. The film series tells the story of the fictional Isle of Berk, home to the of the Hairy Hooligan Tribe.
So knowing that they take three years from this moment, from outlining and writing the screenplay through to the final lighting of it, it's just a process of building models and doing tests and animating, storyboarding, the whole thing just adds up to about three years. The dragons' design made sure to create animals that were comical and also innovative compared to other dragon fiction. It is also a huge part of short movies about the adventures of the same characters. Furthermore, a title for the film has been announced as well: How To Train Your Dragon 3: The Hidden World. How cool is it for you, as a filmmaker and creator, to not only have the tremendous response that you had for the first film, and be able to do a second film, but to now have three films in this franchise and be the one at the helm of them all, and be able to see this story through to its conclusion? He befriends and adopts Toothless as a pet, and sets an example to his dragon-hunting tribesmen that humans and dragons can be friends and live together in harmony. First Date presents a moonlit scene by a lake in which Toothless gets acquainted with his new love interest, the white, blue-eyed, female Light Fury dragon. After being encouraged by Astrid, who says that Hiccup has always been a unique and determined Viking even without Toothless, Hiccup sets out with Astrid, Snotlout, Fishlegs, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Gobber, Valka and Eret to stop Grimmel and his army and save Toothless, the Light Fury and the dragons.
Arnold is co-producing the final installment of the series with Brad Lewis, known for his work on Antz 1998 and Ratatouile 2007. The task of the cast was to show all the adventures that happened to awkward Hiccup that changed everything — just before he started training his own dragon — Toothless — the island where all the Vikings lived had had to face the difficulties caused by the dragons. He decides to let Toothless go and live in the Hidden World, until they see the Light Fury also followed them back. It is loosely based on the film and was released on March 23, 2010. The film will also be directed and written by DeBlois, produced by Bonnie Arnold, and exec-produced by Chris Sanders, with all the main cast set to return.

Realizing the world isn't ready for dragons, Hiccup and Toothless say their goodbyes, and all the Dragon Riders and people of Berk also say goodbye and set their dragons free, as Toothless leads the dragons towards the Hidden World, and to safety. During one attack, Hiccup shoots down a Night Fury, an extremely rare and dangerous dragon, with a bola launcher of his, but when no one believes him he goes off to look for it on his own.
